Purple Patch

I've been planning to use these flowers in a blip on more than one occasion but, as I didn't know what they were (and still don't know!!) I kept putting it off.

However, when I was topping up the bird feeder just a wee while ago, the sun was low in the sky and there were some interesting backlight effects.

Deciding there was no time like the present, I put the long lens on and this is the result. Try it large for effect.
