Home game?

Miss K's football team played a friendly against Penicuik U15 girls so it was only a few minutes walk to get to the game. Some of the players in the Penicuik team were classmates but I don't think that added any "edge" to the encounter. In the end K's team lost about 10-3.

Earlier I'd killed time by taking a wander near the playing fields in a bit of countryside where I'd never walked before. [See extra]. Met an older guy who told me lots about how the Estate was when he was a boy: not the open public place that it is today, but all the more attractive for kids to play in.
