America Street, Montrose

We went  to Montrose to see the geese - all 71,000 of them. But the tide was in and they were out. Feeding. But we saw candelabra of waxwings at a Montrose playground methodically stripping a Rowan of its berries. And then this as we drove around the harbour area.

We pushed up to St Cyrus and walked along a beach that reminded me of New Zealand's west coast beaches on the South Island. So much driftwood from trees washed down the rivers - the South and North Esk.

It was a wet drive back where we heard news of the earthquake in New Zealand. Here's hoping.
