I worked a good part of the day but came home mid-afternoon to take the kids to the Museum. The great Santa hunt is on.

It's a cool idea. They hide toy Santas all over the museum and you have to find as many as you can. In fact they don't tell you how many there are. You have to find/guess. It took us about 1.5 hours and visited many parts of the museum I had never seen. This picture of from a Kiwiana display ... We found 15. And have entered the competition to win. Not sure what.

Then home for a BBQ with some American friends and their family who are visting. Only problem was it was pissing with rain (sideways) and cold. So we put the fire on and BBQ'd under an umbrella, and pretended it was summer ...
