River Breamish at Hedgeley

For the first time this week, time to enjoy a good cup of coffee with breakfast - bliss! Sometimes, it's the little things that count...

After that, a day of chores (including two trips to the tip), interspersed with three short walks - Weetwood Moor in the dry (almost!), Hedgeley in light drizzle and the lakes at Branton in the rain. At Branton, either end of the footbridge over a stream was under water - shallow enough walk through, but deep enough to establish that my walking shoes are still waterproof.

This evening, the first roast dinner that we've had in a while and, later, a couple of glasses of red in front of the TV.
