In Dreams

Big night tonight for old car fans - the annual Classics on Main Street gathering in Old Georgetown. Dozens and dozens of carefully groomed oldies with sparking chrome and gleaming bodywork (and their cars were pretty neat as well) lined up each side of the main street and most of the sideroads.

This bright red 200ft long gas-guzzling Thunderbird caught my eye as I strolled along with the Friday night revelers (no booze, however, this is Canada). Not that I'd want one, mind: too much shiny stuff to keep clean, I couldn't afford to fill it up and - small point this - I don't drive!

So big red cars don't feature in my dreams, What does? You think I'm going to tell you . . .
