The Three Graces

They may not be the Three Graces but they were gracious tonight
One day when I was concentrating really hard, S came into the kitchen and asked if she could have a dinner party for her closest friends at some point in December - I must have said yes.
It turned out that I was cooking the dinner party and they were all guests!!
I must try that scam one day!
Anyway, two hours before the guests were due to arrive, one called off and another was 2 hours late! So hubbie had a substantial dinner and the teens were served in true waitress style

* Butterfly prawns in breadcrumbs served with sweet chilli dipping sauce on a bed of rocket leaves
* Salmon steaks with roast potatoes, caramelised carrots, fresh sweet garden peas in butter and cracked black pepper
* Fresh raspberries served in a meringue nest with homemade vanilla ice ream with a drizzle of chocolate and toffee sauces
* Non alcoholic wine

They had a blast and I managed to capture this pic of S & E & L before they headed off to the lounge and to devour more nibbles and snacks
Me - back to the sink and the dishwasher - a mother knows her place, only to hear in the background someone say

Why do women have smaller feet than men?
So they can stand closer to the sink!
