Hawkcraig Point

So here is the only remaining ruin of the experimental WW1 naval station HMS Tarlair (could be HMD? I've seen both terms used). Here was undertaken research that contributed to the transformation of World War 1 into a technological, mechanical war. Research into hydrophone technology, the precursor to sonar, took off here in a big way, advancing the science considerably and boosting the war effort.

I've been here many times, and wondered what this structure (bottom left, in shadow) was.

Still hugely agitated. Horrible things are happening so fast. That Marr thing on Sunday sickened me.

Photography is the one thing that's quietened my mind. My newfound love of bookbinding helps too. That and watching Star Trek with The Kid. Got to teach her what's right somehow and that's not coming from the present that's for sure. =/
