Worthy Cause

I returned Joshua's and my Poppy Collection boxes and money tins to Wendy, (the local organiser), this morning.
I seem to have had no free time over the last two weeks or so but I have enjoyed the social interaction.
Meeting and chatting to people, even the young couple, (early 30's), who asked; "did you buy your medals in a toy shop".
I am also amazed, but not surprised, at people's generosity, £20 for a pin badge or £5 and nothing taken, these were not isolated incidents but regular occurrences.
I have never collected before and I believe that the Collecting Tin totals for each individual are added up to give a 'League Table' of collectors.
That's not my thing - Just pleased to have been able to contribute.
