It is the first day of the fabric dyeing workshop I'm taking at the Peters Valley Craft Center. Today we are working collaboratively, making lots of material to use during the week. Our instructor, Lisa Grey, is attempting to get us all to loosen up and explore the possibilities of our materials, of working together, of trying new things...some of us are happy to play along, others have already rebelled and made it known they are not interested in such things. It may be a long week.
