Snow Capped Ronas
Another chilly day, more hail and sleet showers, mostly in the morning. A frosty night, but calm and clear skies.
It's been a day off from work, working this weekend! I was hoping to get out for plenty of walkies this morning, but that was put on hold. I went to Burra in the late morning to see killer whales, but had no joy. Met mam for lunch at the Cornerstone in Scalloway, and then we headed north to see cousin Peter Brown and Jane. We're researching family members that went to the Klondike in Canada during the gold rush. I've managed to get plenty of walkies with Sammy tonight, and now time for the sofa.
We took a detour whilst heading north to Ollaberry, and went via Heylor. With the wintery showers, the hills were snow capped here at Ronas Hill, Shetland's highest hill, at 450m. Brrr must be cold up there :) Taken from Urafirth, with the crofts at Upper Urafirth in the distance.
