Ready for brandy

Yesterday evening I baked 2 more Christmas cakes. In the morning I left them out to cool and tonight I added the brandy to give them a bit of a Festive kick.

Today started off a bit chaotic. A train broke down while crossing 4 tracks just outside Waverley. Gridlock ensued. A colleague took well over 2 hour to undertake a journey which by bus would have taken 20 minutes or so.

Colleagues coming to a national meeting struggled in - and some did not make it.

For those that did we had interesting discussions on the children's hearings system in the context of some of the wider policy reviews underway. And discussed the need for some clarity on some of our more details procedures.
