At Creag and Tuirc

Last day of our trip to Balquhidder.

If you go to Balquhidder, of course you have to visit Rob Roy's resting place, so this is what we did on our last day. We cleaned the hut, took the rubbish out, handed out sheets and towels to the youth hostel and this was our first stop on the way back to Anstruther.

We went to Balquhidder church cemetery to see Rob Roy's grave and, after that we headed up the hill to 'Creag and Tuirc', the ancient rallying place of Clan MacLaren. The views from there were really beautiful. We reckoned it must have been a rather small crowd as the place didn't look very big; however, the landscape must have been very different at the time.

After that we stopped at Comrie for some lunch and then we finally headed home.

It was much colder in Anstruther than it was in Balquhidder, but the West of Scotland always tends to be wetter and warmer.

Didn't do much after we got home, just unpacking, having some dinner and going to bed soon as I was working the next day. A great trip! I trully enjoyed it.

Thanks very much for all your lovely comments, stars and hearts. I hope you're all well! :)
