Gently down the stream

Toytown

My daughter and I were having a conversation in the car about this rather gorgeous little church which seems to be dreaming in the afternoon sunshine. We saw it yesterday and I went back to blip it today. We both love how it looks and she said it reminded her of German or Scandanavian toy villages made of painted wood blocks. I agree - hence the title.

As you can see, the crop has been harvested from the field in front of it and the bare earth is resting. It's adding rather scarily to my sense of the turning year - goodbye summer, you were going to visit, weren't you? Still, it was mighty hot out today, so no complaints about that at least.

Now I really need to go and re-pot a box bush and water the garden - but I think I might just prevaricate and have a cup of tea first!!
