view from Bowness

A miserable day weatherwise. There's snow up on the hills but low down it's rained all day. I detoured via Bowness on the way to the supermarket in Windermere and stood getting cold and wet while I took some photos. Much of the lake shore away from the piers is now surrounded by barriers while improvements take place. I don't know what's planned. 

The cloud was just starting to clear off the hills as I drove home but I had no intention of hanging around to see if the views improved.
