Aboyne to Fort William

Back blipped

We headed south bound this morning along the Old Military Road, A93 to Pitlochry. We stopped off at Braemar to have a quick look round, without all the masses that were there on Saturday.

The weather was dull and grey, so no stops for pictures along the route.

Coffee and cake, instead of lunch at the Festival Theatre and then a quick look at the salmon ladder. I seem to think that the viewing area was on the other side when we took R about 30 years ago.

Next road on to Fort William. We used to spend weekends and holidays there we lived at Lossiemouth and Mosstodloch and B was fell running, so it was very much home from home in our little caravan (little being very accurate as it was only a 10ft’er).

The weather had perked up when we got to Loch Laggan, so that is the scene in todays blip.

We have eaten so much food so far this holiday that I’m full……! We called in by a supermarket on our way into town to pick up supper. Salad sort of mix and fresh fruit, as we plan to eat it in the B&B and cannot leave any smells, plus a bottle of wine of course.
