Broken rings and rhino's

A day at the festival, enjoying some more fringe time before our hols come to an end. We saw Liz Lochead's show, which was simply wonderful, with readings from her prose and poetry. So proud we have her as our national poet!

A bit sad though to see the Olympic rings being dismantled from their display position on the Mound, especially as the Paralympics have yet to happen? Wasn't sure if there is another symbol for them though, so perhaps something else will appear. If not, it will definitely go down as a "bad decision" in my book :(

Then onto George Square for a mooch and some rhino-spotting...I'd never noticed this chap before. It's true what they say about looking up - you're sometimes rewarded with things like this!
