Higher than the House
Mr Song and I went down to have dinner with Dad, Grandma and Fraser.
Following a beautiful braised steak dinner (and before my excellent homemade banoffee pies), Dad and I went in to the back garden so he could teach me some more about the camera.
Inevitably, Fraser followed us out and started playing on the trampoline while I was learning about ISO's and F numbers and taking some great landscape shots. So, again inevitably, I turned around, switched the settings to sport auto and started snapping away at him and I much preferred this shot to any of the others.
I then got so exasperated with his half hearted efforts at doing a proper Tuck that I shoved him off the trampoline, took off my trainers and cardigan and demonstrated a range of gymnastic trampoline moves (not very well). So more inevitablility, I have pulled a groin muscle (straddle jump) and set off my ongoing back problems. It was worth it though just to show my baby brother that actually, I DO rule.
This has got me thinking about Blip kids. If you look at the journals of people with kids (specifically Red, Allan and Euphemist), they are so comfortable with the cameras, whether it's posed or just their Dad's pestering them with a camera while they're trying to concentrate on something else. I kind of envy this, I am hideously photo shy. Are we creating a new generation of completely self aware, confident children? If so then blip has given us even more than we expected!
