Useful Object (2)

This is an old warming dish, which my mother had for some years, not to keep food warm but just as a pretty and interesting plate.
It is possibly Spode, and has a copper dish underneath, with a spout for pouring the hot water in. It has two handles so it can be hung up when not in use!
This one has a crack on it, but it is quite intriguing to think of people eating their dinner from a dish like this - and imagine how long would take to fill up the dishes before serving a family or guests !
