First Snowfall!

Dear Diary,

Philomena must have had a premonition yesterday because Emerson and I got up this morning to our first snowfall of the season!  My little chickadee seems a bit befuddled by the white stuff on her branch!  It is just beautiful outside, everything wearing a blanket of white.  It won't last of course, first snowfalls rarely do but more is promised later this week.

It rained most of the day yesterday and was still raining when we went to bed.  It was a surprise to see the white outside my window.  The first snowfall is always special and, amazingly, very welcomed too.  It is still a full month before winter is officially here but we are all ready so what the heck...bring it on!
