Open Day

The big day.
After sleeping well Joshua and I enjoyed a long leisurely breakfast, packed and headed for the Army Foundation College Harrogate.
We enjoyed the beautiful scenery amongst the Dales, snow covered fields and the greenery contrasting well.
The AFC Open Day lasted from 1100 through to 1630. The college, systems, set up and people proved to be everything that Joshua thought it would be and certainly exceeded his expectations.
I learnt a great deal and am happy that it will set Josh on the road to what he wants to do with his life.
All too soon it was time to set off for home. The weather was not so kind and we journeyed for the best part in the rain, 'Storm Angus' was making itself felt across the country.
Just before nine-thirty we were approaching Exeter with the weather worsening. The information boards told us that the A30, our normal route home, was closed so we continued along the A38.
The rain continued so we slowed our speed on the unlit road but approaching the Dean Prior 'dip' we crashed.
