Ooh Aah......er

With the weather looking unfavourable we decided to venture only partway down the lake to view the fireworks which mark the end of the Fete du Lac. We were not disappointed by the spectacular presentation, even when seen at three miles distaance. James' techno-beat from the boat radio provided a partial substitute for the music, unable to be heard at this distance.

With the skies looking increasingly unfriendly we made an early return to base, Ros producing some excellent and welcome hot chocolates, while some of our less fortunate friends became caught in the storm, returning in torrential rain. lightning and ferocious winds half an hour later.
