Animal, plant or mineral?

A wet day here in Murch so blipping opportunities were likely to be centred around something dripping! Did take some macro shots of drips hanging off forsythia and although pretty in their blurriness, I wasn't happy with them. I then went out again with my normal lens on and took some shots of this 'thing'. I liked the fact that it looks like a slug as well as a nutshell. It is the seed head of a camellia :-)
