Red Wattled Lapwing

A very nervous looking Red Wattled Lapwing, that Marsh Harrier is on the wing again! Poor Lapwings, they are very sociable birds and like to patrol the shoreline in numbers, but when they see the Harrier they make the biggest, noisiest commotion, shouting out 'Did he do it, did he do it' Well ok, not quite, but that is exactly what their call is like!
It's been very cloudy here for two days with completely 'white out' skies, rain is promised but none so far.
