It's oh so quiet

Today's theme: Peace

And as soon as I saw this for today's challenge I knew what I was going to take a photo of, even if it wasn't going to be *the* best photo technically or visually.

Peace comes when my children are asleep! In many ways than one...
They are at peace when they are asleep..although my daughter does tend to sing and carry on talking!

She is hugging Koala...a TY beanie koala she has had since she was a baby

We've always said that she started talking at the age of 9 months and has never stopped!

Both my kids are chatterboxes, when you meet my kids, you're certainly not faced with shy quiet kids..actually sometimes when I am faced with a quiet child, I'm not quite sure what to do with them :D

But peace also comes for me when they are asleep.

We get to hear that ominous sound known as silence!

We used to get it at bedtime, one of the reasons, aside from they need a routine, for a proper bedtime is so that my hubby and I get some peace in the evening. But at age 12 (daughter) and 10 (son) even though they still go to bed at proper bedtimes (relaxed to 9pm in summer holidays) they usually don't go to sleep straight away and so that peace doesn't prevail in the house til later

Glad to have a change from the sadness of yesterday! It's a beautiful sunny day here today and when the kids wake up, peace will be shattered and we are going on a picnic somewhere!
