Queueing up for pumps

This the Nkhata district, the area id Phwechi and the village of Luafmnda which is 36km from the factory.

Can you imagine that they had a borehole up to 7 years ago when the pump broke down ( a regular situation) and the women and girls had travel miles to get clean, or sometimes dirty water.

This well has 1.9 meters of water and will see them through the worst droughts.

There are 196 people using the well and maybe more before the rains replenish the water table
