Bed Time.

The obligatory once a year horse stables Blip. Nothing much changes but Flash is not in picture. He is in charge of getting them in from the outdoor yard and field which as always he had done superbly - I hope he never gets to learn that the horses come in of their own accord knowing grub is waiting. Once the job was done, he cleared off having heard Angie drive in from her evening fitness session.

So it was down to Luna and myself to do the rest. We have a system whereby they come in, Rosie (black) eats a bit then pees in a bucket. Once done she gets the rest of her food. The Blip is taken as she waits for the main course. Then Asyr (brown) pees in the bucket and gets his main course. Sultan (mud white) is somewhat shy and it's quite difficult to get him to use the bucket. However have to say he has by far and away the tidiest box in the morning. One wet spot and one large pile. Rosie is dreadful, seemingly playing football most of the night. Asyr used to be like Sultan but has got lazy - at 31 he can be forgiven.

Spent most of the day in chainsaw gear and helmet cutting up logs, mainly thin branches that don't need splitting. Difficult, dangerous and tiresome work but also has to be done.
