Wild Horses

Would you believe it after a lovely evening last night this morning dawned misty again but the walk was brightened by this small group of Dartmoor ponies who were grazing on Hookney Down. I love meeting these horses out on the moor.

It appeared to be a couple of stallions, mares and their offspring The white pony on the right whose dark brown foal is standing at the front of the group, seems to be pregnant again. If she is then the foal will still be very young when the winter comes.

As usual they were very calm and apart from the stallions keeping an eye on us, they did not appear to object to out presence
