Working in the gloom

A cold frosty day with me inside preparing ingredients to make Christmas cakes, bread rolls and some family history work. But John has worked outside clearing up after a big chainsaw effort on Monday. Today was log splitting, stacking and burning brash. I looked out about 4.30 this evening and thought 'blip' when looking down onto the yellow figure beside the bonfire. Today felt more normal than the last week thank goodness, John springs into normality within a couple days, it takes me longer?
