Bay

Mr Dave took a day off and we went on an adventure - bus to Musselburgh then a walk along the Esk to where it joins the sea and on round the headland to visit the bird reserve at Leavenhall Links. The weather was glorious, although everywhere that the sun hadn't touched remained deeply frosted. There were large numbers of assorted birds to be seen. I was rather charmed by the widgeon who was poking about in the grass for food  just outside the hides - see extra. Anas penelope, I find.

The main blip is the view back to Edinburgh across Musselburgh bay.
