After the rain
A beautiful, still, blue-sky day, as different from yesterday's grey, wet gloom as it's possible to be. But the glorious weather seemed just a facade - an unsettling sort of day. They say that "No news is good news", and we're hoping that's the case.
Not helped by the fact that I felt desperately tired all day. Last night I woke just after 2.00am to discover MrM sitting with Louie, who had had a 'funny turn', possibly some sort of minor fit. He didn't settle until it was almost time to get up, and we did little more than doze until the alarm went off. According to the vet, it could have been due to a number of things and, at Louie's age (17), medication could do more harm than good.
On the plus side, the flooding has mostly subsided, and the water of yesterday's Blip was just about low enough to drive through. Meant I didn't feel it necessary to drive to work the long-way round, on the A road.
Lots of paperwork to tackle this evening, though I may leave it until another day when I feel more lively and awake!
