Ghost sign

A ghost sign on George IV Bridge, Edinburgh. There is not enough left of it to get a name or any more detail than you see here but it seems to be some sort of second hand/exchange place - a rag and bone shop or something?

We went to see a show at the Voodoo Rooms - Paul Dabek presents Thurston. It was really good and a cross between a one man play and a magic show, being about a chap called Howard Thurston who was a very popular magician in the US during the early 1900s. It is also free fringe which means no steep ticket price and all the money you put into the bucket (or in this case a top hat-of course) goes to the performer

Paul Dabek joins a growing list of magicians who wished they didn't pick me after I forgot my card! He seems to be doing several different shows as we have also seen him doing shadow puppet theatre - The Lion King through the medium of shadow puppets! We only saw a short clip but it was brilliant.

Very talented chap - go and see his show(s) but please don't forget your card! (d'oh..)
