And there to meet me, was my mamma and my papa

ABC of me....

H is for HOME

Troon in the early morning freezing cold sun.

I was born up the road in the county maternity home and brought home to Troon.

I went to the local primary school, brownies, youth club, sunday school; On to secondary school and then, after a failed job, left to go to Edinburgh.

I loved the East Coast and the city especially. After university, i came back for a short spell to Troon; before my job took me to glasgow; and then Dunfermline; and then back to Glasgow again.

Birth of Boy brought us back to Ayrshire and by the time Tooli was here we were planning on returning to Troon so that they would be eligible for Troon's secondary school which did okay by me.

The kids attended the local primary school, got thoroughly integrated in football clubs, brownies, scouts, volleyball, school clubs.

Secondary school passed in a flash and Boy now in 'Mercia and Tooli seeking her path...

Home will always be troon and there will always be a space for them here
