Icy

It was a cold one this morning! We had planned to walk up to the Covenanters' Monument in the hills behind our house, a place where over 3000 people gathered for a secret Communion in the 17th century even though thy were putting their lives at risk. read more about it here. D needed some photos for a project and we thought this would be a good location.

It was a frosty morning but we dressed up in warm clothes. I dug this ice out of a sheep trough (the sheep aren't up on the high fell at this time of year, anyway the troughs are usually used for salt lick, not water). I thought it would be fun to take a photo of D through the ice (before his fingers froze!).

Jess had a great time looking for rabbits :-)
