Stocking
Today, I went to the care home in Keswick, Nether Place. I had to set off up the M6 in the dark and frost, and it got colder the further north I went until by Keswick it was -5. However, the dawn was illuminating the fells for a real wintery scene.
I managed to read some of 'the goldfinch' in my lunch break, Ian beginning to enjoy this book group selection, it is very vividly written.
This evening I have to crack on with George's first Christmas stocking(well I hope it will last a few years!). Sophie asked if I could make one, as she didn't like any of the commercially available ones she had seen, and then we passed a Sue Ryder shop in York and there in the window was the perfect yarn. Hope it doesn't take too long though, as there is a bit of a back log of projects at the moment!
