Observations in time

As the sun was setting

I just managed to take the dog out as the sun was going down tonight.
A beautiful day full of sun and good company.
The Chair and her husband and J and I went to Peat Inn for lunch to celebrate the completion of the CEO recruitment process which has taken up the last six months for both of us.

We are delighted with the appointment and look forward to working with him from New Year onwards.
We had a superb lunch after I decided I'd better cast a glance over the music for a scratch performance of the Messiah tomorrow night in Holy Trinity Church St Andrews.

Just back from a long practice but it sounds good and I'm looking forward to hearing the Heisenberg Ensemble tomorrow afternoon who will accompany us. Their lead violinist is a classmate of our middle son.
I must say the young student soloists sound absolutely brilliant. I love St Andrews for the talented musicians who live and study nearby making it a really vibrant place-it reminds me of Boston where we lived for a while and I took part in the rich musical heritage.
