Derelict giant African Snail shell

This came from Zanzibar - the snail is much hunted for it is a good source of protein.   This shell is about 5" long but there are larger ones and the shells can be found in rubbish dumps on the outskirts of villages.  I use this one as a slug catcher - washing them out into the rain barrel
