A scouting family

There is a strong thread of scouting running through this family, even if the Scout representative was absent for the morning.

Each one of these remarkable people has a connection with scouts, from leading wee Joeys to a couple of Queens Scouts.
My family and theirs gathered with the families of another 151 scouts to celebrate their Australian Scout Medallion awards, the highest achievement at Scouting (11 to 15years old).
Grandad was telling us that he did all his badge work towards a King's Scout, but it being 1952, he was actually awarded as a Queen's Scout. We pondered whether any of these young folk will be equally on the cusp of reigns. But that might be treason to discuss!
