The Legend Ends in Munich

Yes, that is a double-decker train! Not very often you see one of those - Charlotte was a little (too) excited at the prospect of being on the top deck xD They're a great idea though, I don't know why they aren't more common in England.

Today we went to Munich, to watch the third and final installment of the Dark Knight trilogy - in English, I hasten to add. It turns out there's a cinema that shows the English version of films not far from the train station in Munich, a short walk through a pretty uninteresting part of the city after our double-decked journey.

The film was great; we came away happy having enjoyed it, and a little sad that the series had ended. Unfortunately I didn't much like Munich, or at least the area around the train station - lots of construction, noise and grey. After the three hours in the cinema we only really stopped for some chips before heading back to Regensburg, where we spent another nice afternoon down by the river.

Note from the future: I got another chance to go to Munich and see it properly - turns out it's an awesome city, just not so much near the station!
