Christmas Cake!

Dolly and I spent the night at my sister's house after our Thanksgiving celebration yesterday. After a big American breakfast of pancakes, French Toast, bacon and maple syrup, the rest of the day was taken up with the big project of making the Christmas cake! Or should I say - Christmas CAKES? There were 6 cakes in the end. The picture shows only 5 as the largest one was still in the oven. One was made in a loaf pan - by special request of the recipient - ME!

Aneeta was involved in every step. The others just came and went - her mum, uncle, grandpa, grandma, and even Jasmine, her baby sister. She did lots of mixing, practiced cracking eggs, measuring ingredients, beating the eggs and cutting the paper liners for the tins. Dolly supervised and I took lots of pictures.

After cleanup and bath time for Aneeta, there was cuddle time for her and Dolly. She loves Dolly dearly and is so gentle with her. And Dolly is gentle with Aneeta and her little sister.
