Mysterons
A day at Portishead today.
The girls went mad in the in the pool while Joe and I schlepped our way around the marina. An odd place. Half built and super-bright in the unexpected sunshine. A mix of the sleekly (flat/featureless) modern and the indefinably old (but built just yesterday) all cobbled together from millimetre thick surfaces. Shiny, streaked and peeling. Anywhere right here for a 5% deposit.
It reminded me of a JG Ballard novel and I started to feel a little uneasy. Hidden things between the pages of the glossy sales brochure. Overdoing it, but I had to find some way of occupying my tired mind during the hour.
