A Final Goodbye.......

....to the Lilly of the Valley flowers. they have been sitting  in a vase without water in my office for weeks now...I have been observing the slow and graceful decline into papery gorgeousness.

I have been amazed at how they remained nearly as lovely in their bells .........which have kept their shape all be it a little crispy and have moved from white into sepia tones...even the leaves became translucent and gorgeous.

I wanted to keep them...Jaiya told me it was time to let them go....so perfect...Tiny Tuesday....tiny Lilly of the Valley bells....it did feel a little sacrilegious as I placed them into the compost bin...even now I feel like getting them back and sequestering them away from prying eyes.

More cleaning ...more packing...still knackered.
