Nurse Gron

A slightly less lazy day than yesterday, though looking back not a huge amount more got done. We did got to see some relatives for coffee before lunch today, which is more productive than doing the crossword all morning :-)

The weather turned very wet and subtle after lunch, so we set off in waterproofs to head up to the 'mountain gate' where the open land over the mountain range starts. It's always a lovely view up there (see my Blipfolio image).

As we were getting to the top the clouds started to part and it turned into a gloriously sunny afternoon. As we walked back down the trees known as "Nurse Gron" were in glorious silhouette against the bright clouds. They are a small stand of pine trees on the ridge of Cefn Penagored, overlooking the village of Llandrillo.
