Weet Day on Da Street

Gales have blown all day, and rain has poured all day.  It's been a dark day, overcast and dull, miserable!

I've been working on the museum desk all day.  It was a steady flow of visitors in the morning, but a quieter afternoon.  The Christmas tree arrived yesterday, so I spent the morning putting the lights and baubles on, and also decorating around the desk and shop.  Met mam for lunch.  It's been a quiet evening, poor Sammy hasn't been out much, he ran back in quickly to get out of the rain.  Off to the pub again tonight, last shift for this week.

I had to pop into town to pick up some photos orders.  I some how picked the best part of the day, managed to walk there and back, and not too badly soaked.  It was a quiet day along Da Street, a few folk but mostly deserted.  The shops are fairly looking like Christmas now, lights up and decorated windows.  Hope they do well this winter, but you can see the impact of online shopping.  Taken on Commercial Street, Lerwick.
