We're off!

The usual manic day, but we got away, we're in the air, we each have three seats to ourselves and things are looking up. I've just had a G & T, dinner is surprisingly delicious ('escondidinha de carne'- shredded sun-dried meat with mashed potatoes or manioc, not sure which), accompanied by a decent red wine and an excellent film. I've been wanting to see The Danish Girl , but knew it wouldn't appeal to HH, so this is the perfect opportunity - and it's even better than I imagined. Alicia Vikander's Oscar was well deserved and I reckon Eddie Redmayne deserved one too. Two fabulous performances.
 
Looking forward to watching 'Nina' later, having admired her and her work forever.
