This photo was taken on a vacation to Orlando, Florida. For my birthday my family went to see Orlando city play D.C. United. My entire family are HUGE soccer fans so this was a great experience for all of us. I've been playing soccer for as long as I remember. I hope to do this again one day.

This image is related to the globalization of soccer. Soccer started off as a folk culture. It was from an unknown source in England. Soccer was played for fun. Factory workers would play soccer during their leisure time. Overtime as it grew attention, it slowly became popular culture. Now people make millions of dollars for playing soccer. It entertains a lot of people. Soccer is a great example of how a folk culture can turn into a popular culture.

This image is an example of the theme movement. Folk culture is spread through relocation diffusion. People in England migrated and took their customs and beliefs to other places. When people migrate they take with them their ideas. When they arrive at the new destination other people learn new customs and beliefs. Soccer went from a fun hobby in England to a huge worldwide sport.
