Change of tree-nery

This year we decided to forgo the traditional Christmas tree for a driftwood tree, something that falls a little closer in line to a summer Christmas.

Now, I know it looks like an unorganised mess.

But what makes this mess special is that it has a set of angels that belonged to my oma; a gorgeous decoration bought for us from mum in memory of our angel baby and relatives no longer with us; some lovely decorations from the kids' grandparents; and every decoration the kids have picked out for the past 10 years.

Plus pretty lights.
