Pond Life

Pond Life - or Lack of it!

Go away for a few weeks and look what happens to your garden !! Especially when the jet stream decides to move directly over your house and bring a deluge of unprecedented rain. This is our pond now covered in many different varieties of fauna and flora. The only trouble is......where are the fish?

We have some very well fed Herons around this area. I can see a trip to the pond life centre coming on and a purchase of 10 cheap goldfish. If you feed them with Koi carp food they grow quite fast (but do not turn into Koi unfortunately). The newts seem to thrive though + the colony of frogs who are out there 'ribbiting' somewhere.

Will attack the garden (aka known as jungle) tomorrow with a machete, or perhaps in a more civilized fashion with a strimmer. The mundanity of urban living.....
