Day 278 - Fraser Island
Sooooooo it was my turn to drive this morning hahahaha to say back home, the furthest I have ever drove is Burnley to Blackpool (around 40 min) is hilarious to say I was driving a huge 4x4 with 7 passengers on sand. But it was bloody brilliant!! And only nearly tipped the jeep once haha. We stopped off at Indian head, which was named Captain cook as there was a man on top of the Mountain in a robe dress as he sailed by. He assumed it was a Indian, turned out the man was a aboriginal. The view from the top of Indian head was so stunning, you could pretty much see the whole of Fraser and spotted a pod of dolphins really close to the shore too! Manny took over the driving as we headed to champagne pools. Natural pools that had formed into the rock, and the waves from the sea filled them up. It was so surreal sitting in a huge rock pool with huge waves crashing over the sides. Next stop was our lunch stop at Cathedral which was a cute little service stop which we just got to before we ran out of petrol. Finished the Day at Eli creek which was amazing!! We took rubber dingys to the top and floated all the way back down like a lazy river, so chilled. Tea was amazing veggie spag bol and GARLIC BREAD!!! Top day!
