Grey Plover(Pluvialis squatarola)

My persistence and patience(some may say stupidity) has paid off with a new bird visiting the lagoon! A Grey Plover, now this is really quite a big bird after seeing the Little Stints. This plumage is winter wear with a mottled grey brown spangled look, it is very similar to the Golden Plover but this birds bill is larger and it's whole body size is also larger. One very happy birder! 
This afternoon my eldest son picks up his GCSE certificates all ten of them! (He got an A in Mathematics to add to his collection but he did that earlier, so he already has that certificate) One proud Mum also!
